AlexMax:
If I wanted to play a computer game, I would use my friggin computer.  At least its upgradable.

quote:Well you see, the truth is that XBox has superior hardware and superior games. I mean sure, the gamecube is great for my 7 year old sister, but fuck, what the hell am I to do with games for 7 year olds, I need blood and guts flying everywhere, and you nintentdo guys will shun me, but I HATE!!!! SSB, always have. I say again, for a game to be fun the game must have at least one of the following, people have to cuss, there has to be blood and guts spewin everywhere, they need to be somewhat realistic, and have to be at least a little challanging for a 16 year old. OK, That is what a good game requires.

You sir, are an insult to gamers everywhere.  You seem to have the intelligence of a 12 year old.  I'm 18.  I love the cube.  You have no fucking idea what you are talking about.

Case in point.  Even in your strongest point (The Xbox has mature games) you are misinformed.

theangelofdeath69:
Oh, yeah, XBox.

Don't you mean Ex-Box?

I've seen better looking toasters (and faster frigging calculators)!  Then, don't think I'm biased - some of the new imacs look like bloody lamps (or toasters - definitely toasters)

Did anyone hear about the big problem with the Ex-Box, you know, the one where it scratched CDs?

Damn near recalled it, they did!

Now who's laughing...  :D

AlexMax:
You seem to forget that the PS2 had a similar problem.  However, Sony fixed anyone who wanted the repair for free, while Xbox users had to get the repair done for half the cost of buying the damn thing.

How nice of em...

Raistlin:
Hi,

I'm the first to admit I do not know much about computers. This however does not mean I do'nt have any common sense. Heres how I see the X-Box. We know how it all started with Microsoft dominating the computer industry but that was'nt enough. Now they must also try to dominate the video game industry as well. Microsoft has expressed their need to be in control of anything with so much as a computer chip in it. Today thats just about everything. If things continue the way they are we will one day be forced to buy Microsoft coffee pots, can openers, TV's, DVD players, microwaves, stoves and on and on. We will no longer have the choice to buy a brand of whatever that we like as Microsoft will be the only one to choose from. Hows this too? One day computers fully control all cars but Microsoft fully controls all computers. You now have a car that runs on a MS operating system. You're headed down the freeway at 60 mph when the little computer screen informs you that the operating system has preformed an illegal operation and will shut down. Well there goes the engine and with it the power brakes and power stearing. It's not a pleasent thought.

Only MS could get away with such a stunt. Even if Sony is sort of like the electronics equivalent of MS, they will always deliver high quality shit. Everyone knows that Sony is high quality, and that's not gonna change. They coulden't survive if Sony TV's and stereos suddenly became pieces of shit. MS on the other hand, can survive perfectly well selling shit software.
