Oddest Keyboard Ever

(1/3) > >>

Fett101:
Here is the oddest looking (and most expensive) keyboard I have ever seen. Wish I could give it a spin, but I don't quite have the $900 to spare..

Edit: Here's the official site and a bettter (but large)picture

ForceSphere:
You are right, that thing does look weird.  Rather than something new it looks like an acient prototype of what a keyboard should look like.  The keys looks to small and to close together to really work well also.  I think it looks more like a gaming device rather than a keyboard.  I must say I'd love to try it, although it seems typing would be a pain in the ass.

rtgwbmsr:
It looks hard to learn...a lot of getting used to. How are you supposed to use the mouse if both your hands are preoccupied (Q3, etc).

Master of Reality:
if you could learn how to use it properly i bet you could type extremely fast on it, a lot faster than normal keyboards because they're modelled after typewriters which were made specifically to slow down your typing.

Fett101:
would kick ass for gaming. All those keys a fingertip away.

On the subject of keyboard layouts, I just converted mine to DVORAK using a remapper and a flathead screwdriver. My WPM is currently about 10, but thats to be expected. Otherwise I feels like a much better layout.

Oh, and also, a big page of alternative keyboards. Probably not for dial-up.
