1) Yes UT2004 runs on Linux.
2) http://www.linux-usb.org/SpeedTouch/faq/index.html
3) If you are a beginner SUSE and Mandrake Linux are good choices. Fedora may be good too.

Perhaps you could get in contact with these people:

I could find any Linux groups in Kuwait, but Iraq is just next to you so the members of this group may be able to point you to some help in Kuwait.

You might be able to find some help here and here in Arabic.  The guys from Arabeyes have an IRC channel on irc.freenode.net (#arabeyes I think).

I'd probably suggest Fedora as a beginning distribution.  It's really a matter of preference.  Take a day or two and download a few distributions to decide which one fits you best.  I'm primarily an OS X guy nowadays, so maybe I'm not the best person to help.

Linux seems to have a hard time dealing with USB modems.  Most DSL and cable modems have both a USB interface and an ethernet interface.  A decent NIC is pretty cheap, so you're better off using the ethernet interface.  Other than that, DSL and Linux are cool together.  If you use DHCP, it should be a breeze.

The SpeedTouch USB works fine, really. I have one.

I don't think Linux is good for gamers. I am using only 100% Linux now, cause i have better things to do than gaming, I only do this occasionally with simple games but if you are a big gamer, keep your Windows and forget about Linux. Sure, Linux has some games, but they can't be compared with the ones in Windows and only very few of the "masterworks" work on Linux, and they don't work so good, on my opinion. Anything else can be done greatly in Linux, but not gaming. Actually this is the reason why I switched to Linux(besides the terrible Windows viruses)- I was losing too much time with gaming. So you either forget gaming or stay with Windows. Or dual boot, of course.

Or....

Write to your favorite gaming companies and tell them that they are losing money by not making a native Linux version.  Support the wine project.  Try to port something on your own, you'll learn more in a month than you would in a year of engineering school.  And get a goddamm Playstation.

There are alternatives, and part of being a member of the Linux community is sharing and getting involved.

No. The Linux and Windows version is on one DVD, the Macintoshers have a seperate one.
