Is there a player for linux to play net radio stations?

yup, xmms can do that

simply click the link to the radio station, goto openwith a program, then goto /usr/bin/xmms. that should do it

mplayer can also play streaming media, the programmer at the website claims to watch streaming TV. So I would guess radio staions are not a problem.
