So far I'm liking Lycoris the best. It seems to be basically Linux but with a relatively nice interface, good hardware support, and things like media players and word processing apps. spreedsheets etc.
Any of you Linux gurus have any experience with Lycroris ? How does it compare to SuSe ?

The only thing that Lycoris has is an interface painfully similar to WinXP. Lycoris is used to convert XP users to Linux users.
SuSE has by far the most unique and beautiful interface of the 2. The configuration tools in YaST are easy to use. SuSE is what I started my Linux career on, and I recommend it to anybody.

Well i have used both and i would recommend Suse over Lycoris(or however u spell it). Lycoris was ok but for some reason i just did not like it. I have come to like the fact that i can pick and choose what i want in my linux install while lycoris did not really have that opetion. Suse i believe also has much better hardware support. Or atleast it works with my wireless network card just fine. Lycoris seemed great to a novice but once you have any real understanding of jow linux works and all u will relize that it takes away lots of the freedoms you have in other distro's. suse on the other hand is easy to use and still gives u all the configribitlty that you want.

Lycoris would be pretty good if they released a stable release not FROM A YEAR AGO. Damn it, their stable version is at 46, while their beta is at 75. Isn't it time for a stable release that's more recent?
