It's more than two days of down time now.

It can't be a DDOS attack, a good firewall would stop that in it's tracks

Could it be that SCO has gone the way of the DODO?
Now that would be sweet.

They got F--KING DDoS'd  Eric S Raymond said the attacker was Senior in the Linux Community
Raymond an associate of the attacker's associates ;)

The SCO Group's Web site is accessible again after being down for about three days, the victim of a denial of service (DoS) attack launched by a "senior" member of the open source community, according to open source advocate Eric Raymond.

The SCO Group's Web site is accessible again after being down for about three days, the victim of a denial of service (DoS) attack launched by a "senior" member of the open source community, according to open source advocate Eric Raymond.

Though Raymond said he did not know the attacker's exact identity, he offered a few details. "He's one of us. He is part of the community around open source software and the Internet infrastructure, and he's pretty senior," Raymond said.

Much as I think ESR is a bit of a dick (you dare criticized the lord!  DIE!  DIE BITCH!  YOU DIE AND YOU GO TO HELL!!!  ahem, cough yes, his thoughts on guns piss me off too) this is funny mafia shit.
"Well yeah a senior associate of mine took out SCO....  AND YOU CAN'T STOP US BITCHES MUAH HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!  IT WAS ME!!!  HA HA HA HA HA HA!  oh no wait did I just say that?  I meant it was That Guy."

quote:
In an interview last week, SCO chief executive officer Darl McBride complained of being picketed, targeted with crank telephone calls at 2 a.m., and even challenged to a fistfight by an SCO detractor.

"Terrorists do things designed to intimidate people, and we see a lot of that going on all the time--people trying to attack us or people that we're associated with," he said at the time. "If you look at a DoS attack, that's a form of cyberterrorism," he said.

Oh goody.  According to Mr FUCKINGWANKER I'm now a terrorist   .  YOU DIE BITCH MOTHER FUCKER!!!  YOU DIE!!!  YOU DIE AND YOU GO TO HELL!!!  Yeah I've had a bad day.
