Bootable CD distro
« on: 18 January 2003, 00:46 »
I currently have to use bootable CDs to run Linux in some of the computer labs here.  Are there any bootable CD distros that run better than DemoLinux 3.0, which i use now?

Just put this on them, and there will be no more complaints.

If it fails, just tell them: "They got a virus." They wom't know the difference.

NetBSD Live is a pretty good Live distro, it includes KDE 3 and a few other applications. The best part is that it is only a 230mb download. Check it out at

SuSE is suppose to have a SuSE 8.1 live version that runs off of a bootable CD. You can download it via ftp from their site in ISO format. I haven't tried it yet though.
