help with FTP
« on: 29 October 2003, 00:49 »
I'm using redhat 9 and I recently setup ftp server on it for remotely updating my web site that it hosts. I set up a dedicated user for ftp and made the user's primary group root. It was working fine but then the next day without any changes I have started getting an error saying unable to create directory as a permission error. Why would this have worked at first then stopped working? I'm using the vsftp service. any advice or suggestiosn are appreciated.
