grub question

Well I got grub to install with knoppix instead of lilo, but the interface is really crappy.  I like the gui that came with mandrake, not the ugly 3 colors im getting know.  How do i get the gui to come up?  Thanks.

You don't. GRUB comes with an eight color menu. Whatever GUI 'drake had was something specific to 'Drake.

Yes, AFAIK if you want a graphical menu you have to use lilo.

And do you manually paste your signature into all of your posts?

The lilo boot loader looked just as crappy.  Does knoppix not have anything better looking?

It doesn't have anything to do with what distriubtion you're using, it's just that mandrake uses lilo by default, which supports graphical menus. You need to configure lilo appropriately. Though why you'd care what your boot menu looks like is beyond me.
