On boot the message:
The spuerblock could not be found or does not describe a correct ext2 filesystem. If the device is valid and it contains an ext2 filesystem, then the superblock is corrupt, and you might try running e2fsck with an alternate superblock
e2fsck -b 8193 <device>
The device is hdd1, a 10Gb Quantum Fireball.
This is the 2nd mandrake install to do this on this disk in a month. And i just had it running so sweet.
Is it possible to recover the error?
I tried "e2fsck -b 8193 /dev/hdd1" but no luck, i really would like to preserve my setup.
I have spare space on my 80 Western digital drive, i have used partition magic7 to shrink the NTFS partition on there 15Gb, and want to use ghost to copy the 10Gb drives partitions over. But I don't know how to get the shifted (to hda2?) parttitions running, or even if i can repair the current problem to make it worthwhile shifting.
Please help the newb
