They never learn. This is a replay of all that fuss surrounding the Harry Potter web sites when the first Harry Potter movie came out. Threatening HP fans and their web sites was a public relations disaster. M$ trying to take down a pro-Windows XP site?    :eek:   Not too bright, considering that MS needs all the friends it can get, given the antics they've pulled with the XP SP 1, the undocumented spyware, the extortionate License 6. OTOH: go for it guys! Take down the XP fan site, and let's see how many go Linux as a result

All those former M$ lovers and freshly disgruntled M$ haters are more than welcome over here. We've all been there. Of course it's been quite a few years now for me that I figured out the evils of M$ and found freedom.

It was during the time of the stealing of the Mosaic browser to create the first version of IE, only to drive Netscape out of business. But that was a loooong time ago. I have found many more reasons for hating them since. But I'm all over that, now they don't even exist as far as I'm concerned (M$).

No way anyone's going to confuse that site with the real windows xp site! the web design is awful! Microsoft should have demanded the webmaster put a disclaimer at windowsxp.nu. Even that's stupid though...

This could be good to remember if anyone else sets up a website about Windows featuring winlogos etc...  eg find a tiny little thing they say somewhere on the site that reflects just a little badly on windows... eg lets say that at some point they swear or say something thats bad for family values or whatever it is these sorts of people complain about.  Then someone emails from a newly registered hotmail account to microsoft goons along the lines of blah blah is this true what this person said about windows? (Or if it so lucky that they have sworn then - my gods say this site! how dare you use such language on one of your sites! Im trying to teach my children good family values blah blah blah...) then with a bit of luck site gets given a cease and desist letter 8-)

Back before I joined this forum I got into a flaming war with win31.cjb.net. The webmaster and I made peace a long time ago, but this would have been the perfect weapon back then! Maybe I can start another war.
