Linux Virus

Hey guys,
I just read a report that a worm virus has infested some Linux systems (Debian i believe)Is this a serious matter or just blah blah
I am not qualified to make a judgment on this since I don't know enough about Linux

A worm is not a virus. And I don't see anything on that page about either.

Linux is safer than Windows, but you gotta check for updates at least once a week. If you don't, you're an easy target.
