I like the fact that no longer are there multiple different versions of the driver for all the different distros. Also they went from two seperate pieces of the driver to just one. This makes for a much simpler driver install. Its a simple shell script, and the install goes like this:
sh NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-4349.run
Thats it. I think its that simple even on systems like slackware. No more complicated compiling. You do still have to edit the XF86Config-4 file.
driver "nv"
change to
driver "nvidia"
It works good with Mnadrake 9.1 and I just played bzflag using it.
