So what do you think?

Would you unleash Mr. Tux on your Mum or does it have a way to go first?

my mum would have just as easy a time with linux as with windows, which i don't think she is all that competent with but can get by in applications she has familiarised herself with.
Obviously this will be identical in linux, using programs (browser, email, word processor etc) that are identical to their windows counterparts.

Mum is not the problem. It's the fucking morons in the workplace that bitch and whine about it "not being like windows". No shit sherlock, that's the fucking point you fucking moron. God, I hate dumb people.

seeing as my mom can hardly use OSX (but she is getting better, and needing my help less and less).  I would have to say no, she is not ready for linux.
