Red Hat/KDE help
« on: 5 October 2002, 22:46 »
here is my situation, I have dabbled in the past in linux, and just removed my windows 2k server os from my HD and over wrote it with Red Hat 8. Before I did this, I created an NTFS partition where i placed all my music/documents etc..... This is my first time using red hat, and I am used to mandrake. In mandrake, if you opened up /mnt/ it would list my partitions, and allow me to access them (Fat32 & NTFS also) however, red hat did not do this, how can I access this partiton so I can recover my files? Thanks very much.

$ mkdir /mnt/music

now, if you made music partion on partion 3 on the master hard-drive on the first channel (0), do..

$ mount /dev/hda3 /mnt/music
