Bad News for M$ - Go Linux !
« on: 9 January 2003, 03:09 »
An excerpt from an iSeries News publication article.

One major driver will be Linux hardware sales -- which IDC expects to triple to $6.5 billion in 2006. "Linux is the fastest growing operating environment in the market at this point," Josselyn says, which translates to good news for Big Blue and, to a lesser extent, the iSeries.

The article was covering server sales and how the IBM iSeries was not competing too well against the lower cost (to buy) intel servers from Dell etc. The article closes with what I posted.I just thought that the figures quoted for Linux growth was impressive.
