CodeWeavers Crossover Plugin (WINE discussion)

Just went to this site here, was looking for a recent copy of WINE to download.

This plugin enables you to play media off the web for which there are currently no plugins on linux, yes? i notice it costs where it emulates plugins that are free on other systems. Quicktime for example. will this play my quicktime files off my hard drive? is it as good as the real (free) quicktime plugin?

Who are codeweavers anyway? they were not the only ones offering wine for download, so where do they fit in?

Not really been following the wine thing until now so what is the deal here?

Yes this is quite good, the problem is you have to pay

Absolutely not.  The only way you will be a good guy is to not pirate at all, and to not use M$ products which probably means not using Wine at all. Well you could use Wine for non-M$ products but you would be an even better guy if you petition the company for a native version of their code so the use of Wine is not necessary...
