I hear a lot of people say this, basically implying that Linux programmers are talentless hacks with no creativity. This judgement is made by the interface which they are presented with. (Konquerer acts like MSIE with it's web and shell abilities) (does so without all the security holes
)
For those of you who are reading this and think Linux has been ripping off XP and MAC OS X, allow me to get you to think differently.
Let's take a cat (Customer) for instance, and give it a uncaring, abusive owner (Microsoft). Now, the cat has been locked (product activation) outside in freezing cold conditions by "accident". When the owner comes out, the cat is still there and wants back in, regardless of their cruel owner because they are afraid of change, or at least that's what scientists seem to think, and I agree.
The interface isn't a ripoff. It's designed that way so Windows users wont freak out. If you can make winusers feel at home, then they wont have a problem with Linux. In my opinion, making winusers feel at home is clever, and helps the OS gain a greater userbase.
