Problem with installing Lycoris Desktop/LX
« on: 16 July 2002, 12:59 »
Hello MES

I have a problem with installing Lycoris Desktop/LX. I want to install it on my old 200 MHz computer. I insert the CD in Windows 98, and when it has done something it tells me to keep te CD-ROM inside the machine. Then the system will boot the CD-ROM and will continue with the installation of Desktop/LX.

The problem is that my old computer checks the A drive first, and afterwards checks the C drive and not the CD-ROM drive at all, while my new PC checks the CD-ROM drive first and then the C drive.

Can anyone please tell me how to fix this problem?

Many older PC's cannot boot off the CD-ROM but you can find out. Go into your BIOS and there will be something like boot order or Boot device 1,2,3 etc. What you need to do is change this to Floppy, CD-ROM, Then hard disc. Then reboot with the CD in and see how it goes.
Contains scenes of mild peril.
