DNS failing on a DHCP network
« on: 19 January 2003, 05:14 »
I have my computer set up w/ RH 8.0 on a network using DHCP. For some reason the name resolution is continually failing now.

I have two network cards if that says anything. eth0 is hooked up to the network and eth1 is hooked up to another computer via crossover cable.

Any ideas on why name resolution might be failing?

You just started a thread a day or two ago with nearly the same subject. Why not continue with that thread instead of starting a duplicate? What do you have in your /etc/resolv.conf on both of your machines?
Someone please remove this account. Thanks...
