Did you read the install instructions on www.vmware.com?

After you install the RPM you need to run the "/usr/bin/vmware-config.pl" to configure vmware.  Once you have it all configured you just type "vmware" to start up a vmware session where you can install a "guest" OS.  You can then create an ICON on your desktop for the session if you wish.  Check over the docs and FAQs on www.vmware.com and if you still have questions let me know. I've been running it for a few years now...
Someone please remove this account. Thanks...
