Ok, i downloaded the rpm, ran it, now what? i can't figure out how to run it.

Did you read the install instructions on
www.vmware.com?
After you install the RPM you need to run the "/usr/bin/vmware-config.pl" to configure vmware. Once you have it all configured you just type "vmware" to start up a vmware session where you can install a "guest" OS. You can then create an ICON on your desktop for the session if you wish. Check over the docs and FAQs on
www.vmware.com
and if you still have questions let me know. I've been running it for a few years now...
