New here, a few comments and SuSe questions

I currently enjoy the fact that I have a dual boot system running both SuSe Linux 8.0 and MS Winblows 95/98/2k/NT/Xp technically it's XP but hey what's the difference  :D  The only thing that truely keeps me from ditching windows completely is the fact that there is the fact I am an avid gamer and sometimes SuSe has given me a few problems.  The first is that I have no sound on on all Tv apps, KwinTV, etc.  The second is that unfortunately xgammatron hangs my PC completely after a few seconds of gameplay.  This really sucks because I like to watch TV while working on programming and xgammatron is a sweet game.  I was wondering if anyone has had any problems similar to mine and if they can help me out.

First impressions of this site:
Yep, true, yes, those bastards, why are people so blind, how true, and thank god I'm going to be safe when paladium comes around.  Paladium might alone cause me to switch to Linux permanently, what a joke.

System Specs:
AMD Athlon 1900+
Nvidia GeForce4 Ti 4400
Abit KR7A-RAID MB
Sound Blaster Live! value
Happauge WinTV theatre (connected through AUX in on my sound card)
120 GB total HD space ((60GB Dual Drives) RAID 0) (Windows)
20 GB HD (Linux)

I have a solution for your TV issue. Get a TV. I have one and it has never caused my system to crash. I can see it perfectly right over my laptop screen.
Someone please remove this account. Thanks...

Hello fellow Kansan. At least you use linux although only by dual booting. A few years ago this would have been a non issue since linux wasnt able to play tv and had no tv applications. Perhaps you should try out SuSe 8.1. It might have the necessary bug fixes to end your troubles.

There are a whole host of upgrade with regard to the TV watching in linux thing, i had to delete a load of that shit from the instalation setup because i didn't need it.

8.1 may be the way to go ro try void main's suggestion.
