There's also a thread on slashdot about this. All I can say to those businesses hit with this is: "Ha Ha Ha Haaaa!" So much for microsoft's superior software.

I don't see a problem here. That's just one company with 70000 Winderz rigs. So how about this? Every one of these users simply fills out the registration wizard every time it pops up. That'd really show 'em!

Well, you'd probably do a decent job of knocking their servers over - then they'd sue you for doing DoS attacks on their registration servers.
