I had that same problem with Fedora and XP. I think? It gets you to the screen where it asks if you want to check your disks, right? Even after checking them, it seems the first one was fuck-ed. So I redownloaded it and reburned it, and had great success.
Also, I had an issue with the type of media. Some cds I burned at home would not read in my Dell XP box, which has a DVD-RW/CD-RW. The lasers are kinda picky. Memorex "Cool Colors" cds aren't readable on that box.
And, make sure to check Fedora's bugzilla page, search for Anaconda, which is the installation program - any errors at that point in the process will be Anaconda errors, if they are install related.
Anyways, if it gets to the screen where it asks if you want to check the media, you should be ok.
My advice, redownload and reburn.
