what do you guys think of Lycoris LX?

its basic, down to earth.. and linux commands are linux commands right?

and you can always install what DOESNT just come with it like the other distros right?

so really just pick a distro, you caN proberly make anyone work for "you"?

correct. you can even put your own linux distro together and have everything you want and nothing you don't, and after a few month of use, my redhat install is filled with stuff

ppc: the fruity way
mips: the graphical way
sparc: the sunny way

it seems that you need to pay for it, although http://www.linuxiso.org has a link for the iso.

the iso is free and it is rpm based. ehh...its ok.

I just installed Lycoris and found it quit user friendly. It does not give you many options though to choose some so you are really kinda stuck with what you first install. Also i found out that it did not apperently have gcc which is a bad thing. I would recomend it to someone that wants a nice easy transition from windows to linux and also someone that has good hardware.

Lycoris used to be called "Redmond Linux."

Also, someone on some French mailing list said that it was originally made by a few ex-Microsofties. HEhehe.
