well i just got debian but it's desperate to try and use my framebuffer (which doesn't work) so it'll be a battle trying to get it to work, but i think it's irrelevant me trying out debian and then using that as a basis to slam lindows.
from what i can see if lycoris desktop/lx made their installer a lot more inquisitive it would beat lindows pants down. i have not got much further than installing desktop l/x though, will try it out properly soon. i was surprised to find some of the config files state that they were made with the Caldera OpenLinux installer. interesting choice of software versions they seem to have in desktop/lx.
