fucking mozilla on redhat8

I 'rpm -e''d every mozilla rpm on my computer. Then i installed teh rpm of mozilla 1.2.1, now when i run "mozilla" as root mozilla 1.2.1 comes up and when i run "mozilla" as a user mozilla 1.0.1 comes up. a "which mozilla" shows mozilla as being in /usr/bin
so where the fuck does root get the mozilla 1.2.1 executable from? Any ideas?

It's probably old leftover configuration information in your users' ~/.mozilla directory. I believe I ended up moving that directory to a different name and letting the new mozilla create a new one, but I obviously lost my previous tweaks and had to redo them. Now that was with 1.2b so your mileage may vary.

I've never had to move/delete my mozilla directory.  I always use the RH8 RPMs on mozilla's ftp site.

I have always installed mozilla from the source in Redhat 8.0.  During installation, you will be given the option of what directory to install  mozilla in.  The RPMs install Mozilla into /usr/lib/mozilla-1.0.1  when installing it from the source, if you install to this directory, it will prompt you to delete the old mozilla version.  Doing this will make the newest version of mozilla be run in both root and user.
