Hi, new here on the forums.
I installed Debian 3.0r1 recently, everything went pretty well, except my mouse not working yet, a Logitech MX700... not sure wether I need to a wireless module for it in the kernel, I do not have it currently in it though. And most annoying the fact that I'm not able to boot into the graphic environment.
What happens is that when I do startx, the process starts loading, and then crashes, giving me these three main errors :
- No core pointer device selected
- Unable to determine the screenlayout
- Error from xf86HandleconfigFile()
So when I launch xf86cfg as root, twm loads, giving me the xf86 config menu, and accesx so I can move the cursor around with my numpad, where everytime I try to change something, or the properties of the monitor or videocard, it crashes, and I'm unable to save any changes.
Any ideas or experiences that could possibly help me getting it to run ?
