Help with CD Automounting
«

Gnome is set to automatically mount CD's when they are inserted, it is not working. I have looked at the settings and they all appear to be OK. What should I do to make it automount my CD's?

have a look at
http://voidmain.is-a-geek.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=201&start=0
and go down near the bottom of the page, there's some good stuff about using autofs to do this.
there are quite a few different approaches to automounting in linux, and i think that the autofs one is the one with least problems in my opinion.
