RedHat 8 Help
« on: 2 November 2002, 12:05 »
Ok, I have tried the new RedHat 8 but with limited success.

I have a dell xps 600 with 630mb ram, pioneer dvd, lg 40x cdrw, 34 gig hd, turtle beach montego soundcard, diamond viper 32mb video card.

When I installed redhat.....no sound....couldn't find/detect my soundcard and that sucked.  Also, my cdrw wasn't detected.  I hear redhat is the best but I need help.

Also, how is the best way to partition my harddrive.  I have 34 gigs and I want to have 30 gigs windoze, and 4 gigs linux.....
