Newbie needs help!
« on: 6 December 2002, 10:15 »
Not everyone is great at Linux/Unix/Alt-OS and I am sure some of you were not the Linux/Unix/Alt-OS experts once!

As a newbie to Linux, I would like to know how to get started! Anyone know any good links on the web that they used or a book or something they would reccommend?

Answers would be so appreciated!

Try these:

Linux Newbie

DOS Win to Linux Good guide to the Linux command line.

Mandrake Documentation Lots of good documentation, even if you don't intend to install Mandrake, there's still lots of good info that applies to other distros as well. Very well written, and free.
