summer holidays + no job = get stuff done

I guess its finally time for me to install something else on my server as i have been planning to for months. What do yuo think the best alternative to Red Hat would be for a Proxy/web server? I just wanna try something different... nothing against Red Hat. Slackware? Debian? ****BSD? Trinix? Mandrake? RedHat 5 for applixware Office Suite? Mandrake Secure Server Edition 6.0? Corel Linux? LFS using Red Hat?

why not try freeBSD first? it's supposed to be good for servers, similar enough and yet different enough to linux for you to make it work, and learn stuff while doing so...
