I have heard people say good things about Peanut Linux:

Also here is another page listing several small distributions:

Trinux - runs off 3 floppies, however it only really includes rescue type apps, so you'd need to do some work to make it into a proper linux installation

Ice Pack Linux is small, compact, and noob-friendly. I believe they have it at http://www.linuxiso.org.

Dragon Linux is a UMSDOS distro that's around 60-80 and includes X... (most small distros don't). It's based on Slackware (as most small/umsdos distros...?)

Now I don't remember the addres, but it's on the frontpage of this site.

Knoppix technically takes up 0 MB. You need the 700 MB to burn the CD that it boots from...

How small does it have to be?  You want to compltetly wipe windows out right?  I remember on another post you said you wanted somthing easy to install.  If this is your first time using Linux, I'd suggest just going with Mandrake 9.0  its very easy to install and use.  It autodetects your hardware, and make partitioning very simple.  Some people have called Mandrake bloated, which it is.  Its certainly not the smallest distro as far as disk space goes.  But 4 GB should be more than enough for it.
