well i ran the red hat 7.0 gnome 'Internet Configurator' tool, and kppp, and neither helped my linux 2,2 OS find my modem. It is an onboard SiS630 v90 fax modem, and i suppose it will turn out to be one of those notorious 'software modems'.
Still, if anybody can help me figure it out it would be nice. no hard work required, but if you can think of anything.
I have looked briefly using
Google and will continue to do so.
Also, any good ideas on getting two mice to work? one's a glidepad built in and effectively plugged into a ps/2 port (though it's a virtual one, that's how it originally detected it when i installed) and the other is a no-name 3 button serial mouse. at current i have XFConfig so that only the serial mouse works...
