the least linux to use up disk space?

I need to know which linux uses not to much hard drive space? i only have 1.2 gigs of space left on my hard drive, and would like to reserve as much as memory as possible, but it would also be nice to get a version that would run games pretty fast.

If you want to only play games, stay far far away from linux (unless you're particularly fond of FPS games)
If you can't learn to do something well, learn to enjoy doing it poorly.

Dont listen to these gotards.  Linux + Games = Fun.  Check out www.lokigames.com  They do a lot of major porting for games like quake3, unreal tournament, tribes2, simcity 3000,soldier of fortune which are benchmarked faster on linux then on windows.  if you want a small linux installation then check out slackware.  you can do an nice sized install in like 500MB whic includes X.   just get rid of the howtos, emacs and gnome and kde stuff you wont use.  Most linux installs on their minimal install setting will install on about 1GB or less of space.  Check out mandrake, simple, easy and one of the new releases comes with The Sims for linux which i though was pretty rad.

Yeah, the only problem with that is, Loki went out of business...  And as far as Quake on Linux, I believe idSoftware does their own Linux ports.  Linux gives the founder (forget his name already) a "woody".

Absolutely right, sorry i didnt add that detail, loki is gone.  IdSoftware does do its own porting because you are right linux does give the lead developer a hardon.  But games are still available that fucking rock.
