what does this mean and how do i fix it?
checking for X... configure: error: Can't find X includes. Please check your installation and add the correct paths!

it means whatever you're trying to compile needs the X11 development package and your distibution doesn't install it standard (or you explicitly turned it off when you were selecting packages at time of install) most distributions ship with the X11-devel package, which you need to install.
If you can't learn to do something well, learn to enjoy doing it poorly.
