weird IBM mouse
« on: 2 December 2002, 22:56 »
I got me several weird IBM mice. They have a button thing on the top that when you push forward it scrolls up and when pushed back it scrolls down (in win98 at least). Its like the button on some older laptops to move the mouse. Has anyone ever had one of these or gotten one to work in Linux? It works in win98 without having to load any drivers or anythin but it doesnt work in WinNT (it might with drivers since the mice came of NT workstations)

They work on NT, at least they work on IBM machines using NT. They are IBM's standard mouse - it gets shipped with every IBM machine now. Never used one in Linux - yet, but in a couple of months I will be setting up a Linux system with one of those mice. Never had to install a driver for them.

err, i could probably get it working. how much would you charge for one since it sounds like you have a few, and shipping from canada probably isn't as bad as belgium
