This book is perfect for newbies and long-time vi/Vim fans. The first half of the book covers the basics, while the second half goes into detail for the more experienced. Vim was always my fav editor but after reading this book I love it even more. This is a seriously kick-ass book.
No book can cover everything and this book is no exception, but the online help in Vim/Gvim is also great...and I don't say that lightly. Vim scripting is NOT covered in the book.
Otherwise this is a must have for all Linux geeks. I can guarantee you will learn something new about your fav editor.
