The game probably wont work under wine. You need winex (cough...download..it...cough...off...cough..the...ed2k...network).

And you can go to:

http://www.transgaming.com/searchgame.php

Search for the name of your game to see how compatiable it is with winex.

I know it's piracy but who wants to pay extra to do stuff in linux you can do in windows.

I'm not particularly opposed to paying for software, I wouldn't mind paying for WineX either, but what I DON'T want to do is pay for software... and then pay again... And again... Oh, and one more time... and another time... and the month after that, pay again... and then again    ... (In other words, a subscription)

RPMfind has it for free

and with plain ol' wine.
those who do not want to use Gaim can use trillian (it is a bit buggy though in the GFX/skin department)

You can get wine from links at www.winehq.com

There is also an application database. Here are the
Warcraft 3 and wine notes.

If you want to try winex and don't want to pay money for it, then I believe you can build it from the CVS source.  See the Transgaming licence.

Yeah, although the CVS versions don't contain any "Install Shield" support... which kind of sucks, because a lot of games use that.
