Unix Queues
« on: 26 November 2002, 23:34 »
Hi.

Anybody know of an internet site that explains
the use/using of *nix queues, semaphores and IPCs
for beginners using "C"?. With some examples if
possible   ;)

I need to explain it to some guys and don't have
any straight forward examples etc. My books etc.
seems to be misplaced somewheres

Really having a time trying to explain the
underlying concepts   :D   - and yes - they are
windows programmers and I'm in the process of
converting them - so wish me luck -
they don't even understand about forking "off".

Tx in advance...

Microsoft apparently thinks that R&D stands for 'Rewrap & Disguise'.

Okay not a big programmer, but I'm starting to learn, and I found this little link. Looks like a lot of stuff in there. Hope it's not a waste of space, it looks good to me so far - but then I'm little further than introductions.

Scroll down far and it starts to mention queues and semaphores.
