M$ lose to linux in Thailand, offer Office for $37
(1/1)
BouncingAyatollah:
"To prevent Linux from running away with Thailand's subsidized "people's PC project," Microsoft has dropped the price of its Windows and Office packages from nearly US$600 to $37. Other Asian countries are lining up to duplicate the Thai program."
...
"Many people in Thailand have never used a PC before," Nalong told LinuxInsider. "They don't know the difference between Windows and Linux. If you go from Windows to Linux, it seems difficult, but for first-time PC users, the Thai edition of Linux is easier to learn than Windows."

No surprise there Jim,
MS have used that kind of approch all over the world to get to where they are now remember Stacker etc.. This time however it looks like they will still loose (oh that such a shame NOT) $37 is still $37 more than $0.
Looks like Thailand are giving Billy boy the finger, also proves their software is NOT actually worth $600 in the first place. Shame we can't educate the rest of the planet to do like wise then we could all watch MS Corp crash in a similar manner to their software.
