No, totally wrong.
The director of the Lycoris company was a former Microsoft employee, that has helped with the Windows 98 code. With his know-how of OS's, he started his own company named Redmond Linux (the company is located in Redmond), and renamed it later into Lycoris.
In two, or three months, build 45 of Lycoris Desktop/LX comes out, wich will replace Redmond Linux into Lycoris, Lycoris Desktop/LX or Desktop/LX in the OS itself.
Lycoris is a totally independent and good Linux distro wich much work is been into, and deferently worth a good try.
