Small Question about Networking with Linux...
« on: 13 October 2002, 05:55 »
A small question:

Me and my father are setting up internet connection sharing with Windows so we can share our dial-up connection, and we already have ethernet cards and cables, but here's the big question:

Will I be able to use the Ethernet card for internet in Linux? My dad's computer will be dialed up with WinME and the connection will be split through the switch to the Linux box.

I bet you are, but is it from a split dial-up connection with a Win box?

Linux can use ICS. http://www.annoyances.org/exec/show/ics_other tells you how.
