Why dont you people put Linux on your macs.

I did install Yellow Dog Linux 2.3 on my G4, on a separate partition. Actually, I wanted to try it on my 6400, too, but it wouldn't boot the CD like they said it would, so I used the RAMdisk method, and it wouldn't install anything but the base install. How useless is that?
Anyways, I did manage to put the full install on my G4. It won't recognize my scanner, CD burner, or my modem. I can't get on the internet to download updates and stuff. Most of the software has a beta-ish quality about it. GIMP is good, but I can run that on OS X.
I'm about 20 times happier with OS X. Now that's a Unix that I can live with. Sometimes a little corporate enterprise is a good thing. Apple took BSD, and with some solid programming, made it into the best Unix-based distro out there.
Sure, Linux beats Winduhs, but OS X is the OS to run on a Mac.

G'day, 'TheQuirk'
It was in answer to a few 'off thread' comments that carried on from a post by John Tate previous page. If, however, your referring to my fuck up that was just my lack of 'bionic ram' (short term memory) causing learning difficulties but I am at present doing my best and it will get better.
