Hey i'm kinda pissed off with apple, on the day that my powerbook finally arrived into my local applecentre, apple announce the combi drive...drat!

Anyway my question is, is it a good machine? I'm going to go and pick it up tommorow so that i can open it on xmas day!!!

Also can i install osx from my powerbook onto my desktop G4? Or have apple, made it so that i can't???

I suppose you *could* hack around a little and more or less copy the OS from the PowerBook over to a desktop, but it'd be kind of a kludge.

Apple has announced an upgrade path for people in precisely your predicament.  Granted, it costs money, but not that much.  Check their site for details.
