3rd party DVD

I cant afford one of the new Power macs with superdrive right now. I was wondering if I put a 3rd party DVD burner in it if in the future it would work.

Yes, there are also external options. I have a DVD burner, but not CDRW  :(  , but there is an extra port should you want it.

Ummm.... funny you want a Mac one day after that pile of Flaming trash you posted last night 69waluigi69    hehe

If you calling me 69waluigi69, I'm not him. You can do an ip scan or whatever, but I am not him. Don't jump to your conclusions without sufficient evidence.

I'll tell you this right now. This is the only account I have at these forums. I have no other alias/troll acct/whatever. I'm not X11, I'm not 69waluigi69, I'm not Linux User, I'm just me. Nobody else.

www.formac.com has an external dvd bruner with iDVD like software for it.  But if your getting an eMac and you don't mind voiding the warranty you can open it up and exchange the cd drive in it for a Pioneer A05 which can be had a PC Club for probably around $200 now, mine was 250 a couple of months ago.  I did that in my PowerMac, its great.

Other World Computing sells DVD burners that work with iDVD, I think.

No, apple made them stop selling the hack for iDVD.  That just pisses me off, not that I would waste my money on external stuff anyway, but... its just the point of the matter.
