Ten things you will never hear a Mac user say
psyjax:
You bring up a good point. But remember all of the issues with that list were present up untill XP.
My limited experience with XP has shown it to be a deffinet improvement over previous incarnations. However, I woulden't run it. I run 98SE, because all I use the thing for is old games. And XP, while a better windows, is worlds behind OS X.
Which BTW, you should deffinetly get your hands on! It's a trip.

What has everyone got against .NET? It just means that Microsoft stores all your personal details, just like Yahoo! or anyone else.

hey, what did everybody have against the crusades? or the spanish inquisition? or the holocaust? or the reservations that the japanese got put into in the US during the second world war? it just means that one group of people forcibly impose their single minded belief and ethics structure upon a huge amount of other people who were totally blameless and did not ask for any trouble, but who get persecuted, tortured, raped, killed and looted, just like *anybody* with the power to do so would do.
the reason people are against .net is because it is anti-freedom. I am pro-freedom to start with, so anything that gets set up that is anti-freedom is something that automatically disagrees with my ethics. Who says i am not against all those other information launderers as well? but the people who screw people over the most earn my most distilled contempt. It's simple really.

I agree with Calum. .Net is FORCED onto users that use Windows XP and simply create a .Net passport just to shut the fucking wizzard up. Of course there are ways around it, but Windows shouls be an OS, not a marketing tool.
Also, if I can hack a .Net passport, anyone can.
