I'm playing with the idea of joining the Mac fanatic websites in offering "live coverage" of the WWDC keynote. You know, a page on this site that's constantly updated as the keynote progresses, for those who aren't able to make it to an Apple Store or satellite downlink location, and can't wait for the stream to be put online later in the day.
I'm even thinking I'll make it coincide with a makeover of the site, unveiling the new name. And I'd send out notices to MacSurfer and various other sites to publicize it. Could be a nice way to drive some fairly intense traffic to the site for a couple of hours, and at the same time expose the new name to more people.
Besides, all the "obvious" go-to sites, like MacNN, MacInTouch, and so on, are going to be bogged down by people looking for the live updates. Not too many people would think of trying Micros -- er, fuckMicrosoft.com.
And the updates would have the added character and wit (if I may say so myself) that comes with this site, as witnessed (I would hope) in the Feedback and About Us sections.
Thoughts?
