Hi guys, I have a copy of OS X-4, Well will do in a few days, but I would like to know If OSX 10.4 will run on a G4 1Ghz, I have seen a lot of rumers that it will only be for the G5, Is this true?

I have not been able to find any sys specs on the net so woundering if anyone here knows.

id be damn pissed if tiger is g5 only

but it would only be running on powermacs and imacs

glad they were nice enough to throw their users a bone and make a all new G5 iMac that you can buy for probably about 2 g's

Tiger is known to work on PearPC, and that's just a G3.  It'll run on anything Panther does.

well i downloaded tiger and heres the minimum requirements according to apple:

powerpc g3, g4, or g5
dvd drive
built in firewire
at least 128 mb ram
built in display or display connected to apple videocard
 at least 2 gb space(3.5 for dev tools)
just say know

but i think for the big release they'll probably put it on multiple cds instead of one dvd
