For ethernet, you'll most likely need a PDS ethernet card. Sadly for you, the LC575 is an ancient piece of equipment and it'll be hard to find a PDS card cheap.

However, if you manage to find a TV card for them (much more common) they make bad-ass TV's.

what a shame.

So in a way im kinda lucky to have one of these macs

Will that pds thing go into a 10/100 eth on the router (i think its called 20baseT) i know a few local public schools who have lots of macs and theyre connected via cat5 so thry may have a spare (id have to con em though)

For more information:

I didn't have much luck searching e-bay.

Sonnet makes a "Presto Plus" which should work with the 575...e-mail them to make if you want to consider it.
http://www.sonnettech.com/product/presto_plus.html

It'll double the processor speed, add 32 MB RAM and give you 10 base T networking for a somewhat high $99 (hey, it was twice that a few months ago)

32 MB of crucial RAM costs $39.59
The last PDS net card I saw was around $25
Almost $65 for both of those...if you are thinking about putting this thing into use, I recommend getting this upgrade. I did, and I use my LC (the original) much more often now.
